adult circumcision and urinationMy father in law is a 65 year old man that was circumcised for reasons related to diabetes approximtely 7 months ago.
Right after the procedure they had him urinate (a small amount) in a cup. After a bit, they told him to get up out of bed and he started gushing blood down his leg, etc. So the nurse wrapped the end of his penis tightly in bandages to stop the bleeding. Since then, he has had a hard time starting a urine stream, as well as, stopping it. Is this common? If so, could you point me to a website or a book to get medical documentation for such a condition? He is concerned about this, and he sees a female family practicioner, so he a little hesitant to discuss this with her (he is fighting the suggestion of seeing a urologist ..) Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Barbara
