I have had recurent blood in my urine over the years and was told it was Hematuria For the past 5 years or I have been experiencing a severe pain in my left lower abdomen, closer to the groin area after urination. That pain last fro approx 30-45 mins, then it disappears until the next time I urinate. I have had sonograms done and all was negative. Yes, I, too, was given the diagnosis of hematuria today at Urgent care. I have had several times before in just this year when I had urinary tract infections with blood in urine, but marked it up as an infection, three times I can remember this year. But this last time and last time, I have tenderness and pain deep in lower back area and on my right side in front, maybe after urination now that you mention it. I was worried it might be something serious, so I looked it up here. The doctor wants me to follow up with tests to rule out some things like stones or bladder problems or urinary tract trouble. It does worry me a bit. It says here on this site about hemturia, A small number of people experience microscopic hematuria that has no discernible cause (idiopathic hematuria). These people normally excrete a higher number of red blood cells.
But it could be nothing. I'm not going to worry now, though, till tests are done and rule out anything serious. I have been having alot of UTI this year and that worries me, but must consult my PCP soon and see what can be found or not.
My pain is an achingness and waves of pain on a scale of 1-10, about a 4-6, sometimes less. I thought for sure it was another UTI, because I had this same pain last time I had one.

Well, anyways, you're not alone and I'm glad I'm not alone. And it is good news they didn't find anything. After reading your letter of concern, I was a little relieved to learn you have the same symptoms and already did tests and found nothing serious.

Good luck and hope you find something to help and especially bring you peace. Does ibuprofen help? I hope my tests are good results. I won't know for a while.
God bless
