blood in urine after sexThis is an awesome forum. Didn't know anything like it existed. I'm going to make this as short as possible. About 10 years ago when having sex, my girlfriend was on top and came down on my penis (ouch!). Still hurts thinking about it. It really wasn't as serious as it could have been. No damage to tissue. Doesn't bend funny or anything. BUT after this happened, blood would appear in my urine after sex. Sometimes in semen (rare). Occurred on and off throughout the years. Often this dilemma would be connected to very active/vigourous sex play. Went to the urologist he checked prostate and other things. Everything came out fine. He prescribed anti-biotics and that was it. Of course this didn't work. Fast forward a year or two and I came to a solution on my own. I took a break from sex (maybe a month or two). After this on days/nights that I had sex, reduced liquor intake (this was key). Now let's fast forward some more. I've had two years straight not a drop of blood in my urine or semen. About a month ago being the intelligent guy that I am, I drank like a fish and had sex with my girlfriend. You guessed it...blood in urine. Everytime I've had sex since then, blood has been present in urine. I want to reiterate...blood is in urine ONLY AFTER SEX.
I have yet to this day, found any kind of decent answer to this problem. Never seen anything similar to this on the web. I have a girlfriend right now and I would hate to have to take an extended period of time without making love. Please refrain from advising me to see the dr. I have 2 docs and see them on a regular basis. And I plan on seeking out a different urologist to gain new knowledge. Just had comprehensive bloodwork/urine analysis done, and everything came back excellent. From what I gather, after having "active" sex, a blood vessel or something is rupturing in urogenital/prostate region. A key point is that it does not occur after masturbating. Does anybody have any ideas on this? Am I correct in my hypothesis that alcohol exacerbates the problem? Could caffeine be a negative in this situation? Is there anything else that I should steer clear from? Are there any vitamins/supplements/herbs/minerals/medications that can help with this? This topic just being ackknowledged will be of great benefit to me. I appreciate all the help..
