Botox and tens

I have tried most treatments for IC none which work for me, but i recentally been told by my doctor that botox can be used in the bladder to help control it but can also disable the bladder for 6-9 months. Has anyone heard or tried this treatment? Also i have been told about nerve stimulation. I am due to start these treatments soon and was after a bit of advice. Anything you can tell me would be a great help!
