Is it possible that I have IC?

Post a new topicby sam i am on Wed Aug 13, 2008 10:23 am

Hi everyone!! I think that this is something that I may have, but would like gather some insight for all of you. I was treated for a kidney stone in June. Had a stent put in, taken out and thought things were normal again. Since having the stent pulled out a week after my surgery, I have been in pain. I get waves of pain and often it feels like "tugging" pain. I have the urge to urinate then there isn't anything there. I have been to my urologist what feels like once a week and he does not have a clue what it could be.

I have had urine tests, CT scans, X-rays and he still can't tell me what's wrong. After reading posts here and reading about this, I think Interstitial Cystitis is what I have.

If after reading my short description, can anyone out there shed some light for me with their symptoms and if I should bring up IC to my doctor?

Thank you all for your help!!!

Sam,

If you haven't alredy done so, I would definitely bring IC to your urologist's attention. Mis-diagnoses seems to be very common among those of us that suffer from IC. I alone was mis-diagnosed for years with everything from UTI's to Prostatis.

Good luck and Take care,

Justin
