Michael Barkoukis, MD, FACS
Dr. Barkoukis graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University with a bachelor of arts degree. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1977. Both his general surgery and urology residencies were completed at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Barkoukis has been practicing with Southwest Urology since 1982. He currently serves as Chief of Urology at Southwest General Hospital, as the Surgical Representative to the Medical Executive Committee at Deaconess Hospital, and as Assistant Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Barkoukis is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons.
He holds memberships with many professional organizations including the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, The American Fertility Society, and the American Medical Association.

Arturo S. Basa, MD, FACS
Dr. Basa received his medical degree from Far East University in Manila, Philippines. His general surgery residency was completed at Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and his urology residency at Huron Road Hospital also in Cleveland.
Dr. Basa has been in private practice since 1971 and with Southwest Urology since 1986. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Philippine Physicians in Ohio, the Cleveland and Ohio branches of the Urological Society, the American Medical Association, the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and the Society of Philippine Surgeons. Dr. Basa also serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Michael T. Berte, MD, FACS
Dr. Berte received his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed his residency in general surgery and in urology at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Berte has been in private practice since 1985 and with Southwest Urology since 1986. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons. He is a current member of the Ohio State Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association, the Cleveland Academy of Medicine, the American Fertility Society and the Cleveland and Ohio branches of the Urological Society. Dr. Berte was past department chairman of Southwest General Health Center and currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Lawrence A. Gervasi, MD, FACS
Dr. Gervasi received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine where he was awarded the Agnes Arnold Award of Outstanding Research in Urology. During his surgical training, which was completed as North Shore University Hospital, he was recognized as the Outstanding Resident in General Surgery. He completed his urology training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Gervasi has been in private practice with Southwest Urology since 1991. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Gervasi is President of the Cleveland Urologic Society; and Assistant Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American Medical Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, The Texas Urological Association and the Academy of Medicine-Cleveland.

Tim A. Sidor, MD, FACS
Dr. Sidor received his medical degree from Case Western University. His surgical and urological training was received at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio. He has been in private practice since 1982 and practicing with Southwest Urology since 1986.
Dr. Sidor serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and is currently the head of the Medical Ethics Committee at Parma Community General Hospital and a member of the Investigational Review Board at the same facility. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American Fertility Society the American Medical Association, the Society of Endolaparoscopic Surgeons, the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology and the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine.
Dr. Sidor was an honored professional of the National Directory of Who's Who in Executives and Professionals.

David S. Turk, MD, FACS
David S. Turk, M.D., completed his bachelor of arts degree in sociology at the University of Cincinnati in 1990. He graduated from the Medical College of Ohio with a degree in medicine in 1994. He served his urology residency at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Turk has research experience and publication credits in the field of lead poisoning. His personal interests include cycling, reading and writing, singing, and skiing. He joined Southwest Urology, Inc., in July 2000. We wish Dr. Turk a warm welcome.

Martin A. Kosdrosky, MD, FACS
Dr. Kosdrosky earned his bachelor of science degree from Kent State University, graduating magna cum laude. He completed his medical degree at The Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Kosdrosky served his residency at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State Geisinger Health System in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He was chief resident from 1996 to 1999.
Dr. Kosdrosky is board certified by the American Board of Urology.
